According to new research from Toluna, nearly two-thirds of US smartphone users check their mobile devices within fifteen minutes of waking up in the morning, as well as within fifteen minutes of going to bed. Whether checking email, looking at sports scores, reading the news or browsing social media, the data point shows how smartphones are intimately connected to everyday life.
Interestingly, when compared to smartphone users in other tech-developed countries, US users are actually slower to the draw, with more than 70% of smartphone users in the United Kingdom, Germany and France reporting checking their devices within fifteen minutes of waking.
