Cars.com is getting ready for the Big Game this February, and we’re giving you the chance to win prizes every week at WhosGotGame2012.com! Each week, we’re featuring a different character representing the potential car shoppers Cars.com could be reaching through our ad in the Big Game, as well as asking dealers how they would convert similar shoppers into purchasers at their stores.
This week’s character is Brendan, a know-it-all who trusts his gut instead of doing his homework. He assumes you’re trying to take him for a ride (and we’re not talking about test-drives). Let’s take a look at how you can use mobile tools – particularly neutral, third-party apps and tools – to overcome Brendan’s misconceptions and increase his trust in your dealership.
- Use your smartphone or tablet to visit the Cars.com mobile site or apps for iPhone, iPad or Android to provide third-party validation of a vehicle’s value and price point, right on the spot. Show your prospective customer other inventory nearby, MSRP values, or, in the case of used vehicles, the car’s average price range and CARFAX report. Explain how a vehicle’s condition or options package impacts its value.
- If they’re like most consumers, your potential buyer is cross-shopping a number of makes and models. Use Cars.com’s mobile site or apps to share what others are saying in consumer vehicle reviews, insight from the experts on Cars.com’s editorial team, as well as any special accolades, such as being named a winner or finalist of the Best of the Year Awards, Lifestyle Awards or Shoppers’ Choice.
- Did you know you can read your Dealer Reviews on Cars.com’s mobile site and apps? Show customers like Brendan who are skeptical about the car shopping process that provide a great experience and make the satisfaction of your customers your top priority. Showing a wary shopper what your previous customers have to say provides unmatched validation for that commitment.
Head back to Whosgotgame2012.com next week for another chance to win, and meet an all-new member of the audience Cars.com could be reaching through our commercial in the Big Game. We’re giving away thousands of dollars in prizes, so cast your vote each week!
