You Did It!
Automotive Sales and Leasing Listed as Essential Businesses by the Department of Homeland Security
April 17, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revised its guidance to include automotive sales and leasing as essential businesses. Together we stood with over 5,000 dealers nationwide who petitioned DHS to #AllowSafeAutoSales.
Like you, we believe automotive sales are critically important to ensuring the success of our country’s infrastructure, whether for first responders, medical personnel, grocery and pharmacy workers, or individuals needing to engage in essential travel as they perform the vital tasks needed to maintain daily life during this pandemic. Our industry has the digital retail technology to connect with customers virtually and conduct sales digitally or through one-on-one appointments while abiding by all social distancing guidelines in place to ensure the safety and health of our communities.
Thank you to all who joined us.
We’re not done yet. Federal guidelines help our cause; however, some states and local jurisdictions are not adopting the federal recommendations.
Please let us know if your state, county or city continues to impose excessive restrictive burdens on automotive sales or service. And check back here for further updates on how we can help #AllowSafeAutoSales and #KeepAutoOpen everywhere.
